Valera wrote in 1588, \u00abif one day God were to have mercy on Sevilla, it would only be right that this monastery of San Isidoro del Campo might one day become a university chiefly for the study of theology.\u00bb This prayer has been on the minds of Spanish evangelicals who form part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fundacionabre.org\/\">ABRE Foundation<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lmusa.kinsta.cloud\/STS\">Sevilla Theological Seminary<\/a>, both ministry partners with Liebenzell USA.<\/p>\n<p>Every Protestant country has its landmark: Germany has the door of All Saints\u2019 Church where Luther nailed his 95 Theses, Geneva has John Calvin\u2019s church where so many were trained and found refuge, and Spain has the San Isidoro del Campo monastery in Seville whose monks became Protestants and later fled from the Spanish Inquisition. It was the hope and prayer of these monks that God would someday turn the monastery into a seminary and university, but for almost 500 years now, this has merely remained a dream. However, it appears that the Lord is opening a door to let Seville Theological Seminary enter the monastery: an unprecedented change! If we raise the funds, the building will function as a seminary, museum, conference center, and reception house for the many Spanish-speaking Protestants who travel from all around the world to visit the monastery.
