Tyson Bascom
Tyson’s desire to be a missionary started in fifth grade when he was intrigued by Jim Elliot’s story. The testimony of Jim Elliot and fellow missionary friends touched Tyson and his heart was stirred to possibly be a missionary someday. Over the years, Christian influences in his life fed the desire to share the Gospel and continued to strengthen that aspiration to become a missionary. Tyson’s ultimate hope is to give all he has for sharing the Gospel with people who have never heard it.
Tyson is excited to join the Ecuador team for the summer of 2026 as part of Liebenzell USA’s Journey Summer apprentice program! As part of the program, he will serve alongside our Liebenzell missionaries while being exposed to both city and more remote missions work as he travels in the majestic Andes mountains of Ecuador to help with church planting and outreach activities including working with children’s and youth programs. Please pray for him as he prepares to serve and as he comes alongside our team in Ecuador to help, serve, and share Christ.
