Solar Power project fully Funded!

Thanks to your generosity, Amano Christian School was able to raise the $33,000 needed to completely switch the entire school to solar power. Your contributions will save Amano over $2500 in monthly costs and allow all-day power at a time when Zambia only provides power 5-6 hours a day. We will have more updates when Amano completes the acquisition and installation.

About the Amano Christian School

Amano Christian School (ACS) is located in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia, Africa. The school was founded by two missionaries who saw the need for quality Christian education for missionary children and local children. Their vision also included an avenue for orphans and underprivileged children to receive a sound education.

The mission statement summarizes the goal of Amano Christian School very well: “Amano Christian School aims to provide a high standard of education in the most densely populated province of Zambia, enabling students to develop their full potential. By teaching from a Biblical worldview all students are encouraged to establish a lasting personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and become responsible members of their community.”

The team of staff that serve at Amano Christian School come from different ethnic backgrounds, including Zambia, Congo, the US, Germany, and the UK. All teaching and support staff come to serve with their own support and their desire is to see their students come to know Christ and grow in their faith.

Amano Christian School is a boarding school and since most of the staff also live on campus, they have the unique opportunity to pour into the lives of the students every day. With about 140 students there are always a lot of activities going on. Besides their studies, students have the opportunity to be involved in sports, youth group and various clubs that are offered each week.

Amano Christian School is in urgent need of more teaching staff for both elementary and high school, as well as needing a principal. Please pray that the Lord would call people to fill these positions.
