Asael & Techimy Ruda

Asael and Techimy are missionaries from Chuuk currently engaged in providing pastoral leadership in order to grow and strengthen the three Evangelical churches on Yap. They were originally sent to Yap in 1989 by the Evangelical Church of Chuuk as Youth Workers. Presently, they live on Yap along with their daughter, Charity, and her husband Jonathan Sam.

Asael, Charity, and Jonathan are graduates of Pacific Islands University (formerly Micronesian Institute of Biblical Studies). They put their training to good use in preaching, leading youth ministry, organizing children’s Sunday School, teaching weekly Bible studies in the villages, and conducting a prison ministry. Techimy and Charity are engaged in teaching and ministering in the church’s kindergarten. Jonathan is also a full-time teacher in the public schools.
