Michael & Samantha Owen
The Owen family, Michael, Samantha, Titus, Courage, Serenity, and Arete, love the Lord Jesus, they also love one another, and they love all of God’s children all around the world.
The Owens serve the people of Micronesia through their work at Pacific Islands University (PIU) on the beautiful island of Guam. PIU’s main campus is in the village of Mangilao on the east side of Guam, the side with the cliffs and not the side with the tourist friendly beaches.
The Owens are involved in educational missions. PIU’s goal is to offer accessible, excellent, and transformational Christian higher education to the people of Micronesia and beyond. They do this through teaching in the classrooms, small-group and one-on-one discipleship, singing and playing music (with the occasional dance), organizing events, sharing meals, prayer, and by making sure the paperwork gets done. They are also part of raising up the next generation of leaders, teachers, pastors, parents and missionaries. Equipping them with a knowledge of God and His word so that they can go out and transform the world for His kingdom and His glory. Currently, they are in the USA because Michael is doing a doctoral program in Cincinnati, Ohio. They plan to return to Guam when his studies are complete.
