Description
About the Chable’s
Gaspar Chable and his wife Estela serve as pastors to a group of 12 rural churches in the Mexican state of Oaxaca (pronounced wa-HA-ka), and coordinate many different ministries from where they live, Rancho Tunillo. They use many creative ways of reaching out to rural communities, and believe that community assistance needs to go hand-in-hand with the preaching of the gospel. As Gaspar says, it is difficult for people to respond to the gospel is they are chronically hungry. Gaspar teaches all sorts of sustainable farming methods, including water-drip irrigation, composting and protein projects with rabbits and chickens. They are involved in medical outreaches, reading glasses and hearing aid distribution, and water filter donations.
Gaspar graduated from Lacy Baptist Seminary in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca, and they have three adult children. Gaspar and Estela are also members of FAM México, and have worked with the Frys and Amezcuas repeatedly over the past 10 years.
